1.9.9-beta was published to be measured and to wait for a name. This is the build it waited for. Design Studio arrives as the seventeenth app the system leads with, a drawing and layout canvas that pins finished artwork to IPFS through the provider you already connect in Storage, and it is the first thing in Hexncoin to pin a real image, because the pinning layer accepted nothing but UTF-8 text until now. Clock stopped calling an API at all: its Markets tab reads 22 trading venues and its Calendar reads 26 dated events from local data, so both open instantly and both work with the connection off. Solana Hub's three search tabs became one field, Pump.fun grew a feed of what launched in the last day, and an installed launch now opens to the desktop instead of the website's front door.

Design Studio, a canvas in a window
Draw freehand with an adjustable brush, place vector shapes and text, paste SVG straight onto the artboard, and import an image to trace into editable paths. Everything lands in a layer list you can reorder, rename, hide and lock, with 50 steps of undo behind it. The artboard runs from 100 to 10,000 pixels a side with four presets, and the work exports as PNG, JPG or WebP.

Save pins a picture, not a string
Save to IPFS pins two objects through the provider you connect in Storage: the rendered artwork as a real image/png, so the gateway URL shows the picture rather than a download, and an editable bundle carrying a pointer to it. Re-open the bundle by CID and the scene comes back with its objects intact. Nothing in the OS could pin an image before this, because pinning only ever sent text.

22 venues, and a venue on its lunch break says so
The Clock's Markets tab and the menu bar's Time Center read one local directory of 22 trading venues: 12 equity exchanges, 4 forex sessions, 3 commodity venues, 2 bond markets and crypto. Tokyo, Hong Kong and Shanghai all close for the middle of the day, and the old 10-exchange list called that Closed; a split session now reports Break and names the stretch it is between.

A calendar that opens with no network
The Calendar tab fetched IPO, earnings and holiday rows from Finnhub, which meant an empty tab whenever the key was rate-limited and nothing at all offline. It renders 26 dated entries across four categories from local data now: macroeconomic prints, earnings dates, token unlocks and forks, and the conference schedule, each with its own time zone and a full description.

Explore: what launched, what is bonding, what graduated
Pump.fun opens on a new first tab holding three cuts of the launchpad: coins minted in the last day, coins whose curve is genuinely filling, and coins that completed it and moved to a PumpSwap pool. Every row is one tap into Trade for that mint. The lists are index queries with no on-chain shortcut, so they run through this app's own proxy with the key held server-side, and a feed that is switched off says so instead of spinning.

One field instead of three search tabs
Solana Hub's Explorer, Wallet and Token tabs each took the same 32 to 44 base58 characters and differed only in what they did with them. Lookup asks the chain instead: one paste, one account read, and the right reading opens itself. A subject bar pinned to the top of the reading carries the string, a copy button, a link out to Solscan, and a switch between the readings that string honestly supports, which is the part detection cannot decide for you.

- Design Studio ships installed on a fresh profile and takes the count of maintained apps from 16 to 17. It signs nothing and needs no wallet; the only network it touches is the IPFS provider you connect yourself.
- Design Studio's project drawer imports and exports the editable scene as a .nft file, so a design moves between devices without involving IPFS at all. The tools sit in one dock, each on a single-key shortcut, and a Guide dialog on F1 explains them.
- Pinning accepts binary. A pin can now carry a content type and a base64 payload, which is what lets a rendered PNG arrive at the gateway as an image; before this every pin was UTF-8 text.
- Pump.fun's Explore tab lists new, bonding and graduated coins and refreshes itself while it is open. One 20-second cache is shared across the deployment, so the number of open tabs does not change the number of upstream requests.
- Solana Hub's Lookup replaces the Explorer, Wallet and Token tabs. Its landing shows what a paste can be with a sample of each, plus popular mints and this browser's recent lookups, which skip detection because a preset is a mint by definition and a recent already resolved once.
- The Clock's Markets tab covers forex sessions, commodity venues and bond markets alongside equities, with the trading day, the next open or close, and the London and New York overlap window. It is local data end to end and issues no request.
- DEX Screener draws 31 bundled marks for narratives, chains and venues, matched under 67 names because the feed reports the same bucket as both a slug and a title. Narratives were system emoji before, which meant a different glyph on every operating system; a narrative with no drawn mark still falls back to the emoji, and a chain with no mark to its tinted dot.

- An installed launch opens straight to the desktop. A standalone window has no address bar to explain a marketing landing sitting in front of the OS, and the display mode is checked before first paint, so a fresh install on a new device with nothing in storage lands on the desktop without the landing flashing past.
- The Stocks Markets overview lays itself out from the app window's measured width rather than the viewport's, in three arrangements. The previous version ran eleven sector bars across 900px on a maximised window and gave a 620px one the identical stack. Index sparklines carry a month of daily closes, fetched one at a time and cached for half an hour, so a page load is not a burst of requests against a rate-limited key.
- The phone's system panel is grouped cards with inset dividers rather than a four-column grid of tiles. Almost everything on it is navigation that leaves for another screen, and drawn as tiles those read as a field of separate objects competing at equal weight with Control Center, which is a board of toggles and genuinely wants a grid. Only the four launchers and the four ways to end a session keep one.
- Appearance is a segmented control in the phone's system panel, showing the mode you are in rather than the one the next tap would give you. The app pill in the island shows the app's name without its icon, which was already on screen twice over: on the thing that was tapped, and in the app's own chrome.
- Hiding your address is one setting shared by the island's pill and the wallet panel inside it. Both print the same nine characters, so a toggle that covered one while the other kept showing them was not a privacy control.
- Files opens Home on what Home actually holds, with Desktop and Recents in the rail beside it. Desktop is the one folder whose contents are already on screen everywhere else in the OS, and listing it as the single icon inside Home made Home look like a folder containing one folder.
- The Stocks app composes its tabs from one set of shared parts, so the card radius, the tabular numerals and the green and red pairing are the same wherever a move is shown.
- The reported version is 2.0.0, codename North Star. It is the first major release since the platform's foundations were reworked, and it carries the functionality that was held back through the 1.9.9 line.

- A venue that closes for the middle of the day reported Closed for the whole break in the Time Center, which is what Tokyo, Hong Kong and Shanghai showed every afternoon of every trading day. The break is its own state now, in amber rather than grey.

- Documents and Downloads are gone from the filesystem; Home holds what they held. A tree saved before this keeps its files: their contents are lifted into Home on load and only the empty folders are dropped. Two system folders remain that cannot be renamed, moved or deleted, down from four.
- Edit Home and Force Quit are off the phone's system panel. Both were the desktop's answers to questions a phone already answers with a gesture: the home screen is rearranged by holding it, and an app is closed with the back swipe on the app itself.
- The island's ring no longer lights for in-flight requests. It counted every fetch in the app, which on a screen of live market data is a light that is on more often than off, and it told the reader nothing they could act on. The ring keeps the quiet glow that means a wallet is linked.
- Solana Hub's Overview drops the epoch, slot pace and health readings. They answered a question about the chain's internals on a page about the token's market, and Lookup is where the chain's internals now live.
- The Finnhub calendar feed is gone with the tab that used it, and one API key with it.
