The phone spread the shell's live state across three corners of its chrome: the wallet in a sheet hanging off the status bar, the notifications in the island, the link in the pill. Three surfaces and three gestures answered one question. They are one tabbed container now, opened by one tap, which leaves the status bar's right end to the market alone. The system panel stopped being the menu bar transcribed and became a control centre.

One tap for what the system is doing
Wallet and alerts are two tabs inside the island rather than two surfaces reached two ways. The collapsed pill still carries the link and the wallet at a glance, and a notification arriving still takes the row over on its own.

A control centre, not a menu
The panel was a column of labelled rows with a sentence under each, which is a menu drawn on a phone and read one line at a time from the left edge. Its sixteen actions are tiles on a four-column grid now, grouped as System, About and Session in the menu bar's own order, each icon holding a fixed hue so the same action is found by colour the second time.

The status bar's right end reads the market
It used to share that slot with the wallet sheet. It holds the native asset of the chain the shell is pointed at, its price and its day, until the chain changes. Every state is said twice, by a dot and a word or by a change and its sign, so nothing there is read by hue alone.

- The system panel opens on four connection readouts, in the position a control centre gives its radios, rather than four rows partway down a list.
- Only the six tiles with room for it keep their sentence; the rest are one or two words under an icon, because a tile is aimed at rather than read.
- The panel stays mounted and slides off the bottom, so it springs open rather than appearing, and its scroll position survives a close.
