How to Revoke a Token Approval
Revoking an approval is itself an on-chain transaction, separate from the trade that created the allowance, and it requires a wallet signature like any other transaction.
Find the live allowance
A wallet can hold approvals from trades made months earlier. Review the full list of live approvals rather than assuming only recent activity matters.
Confirm the spender before revoking
Check which contract holds the allowance and what it was for, so you revoke the right one rather than an approval you still need.
Revoking costs gas
Because a revoke is its own transaction, it has a gas cost like any other signed action. Weigh that against the risk of leaving an unused allowance active.
