1.7.5
The Uniswap window now fits whatever size you give it. It used to draw one narrow column however much room it had, so a maximised window was a phone's worth of app with a wide empty margin beside it, and a window dragged small kept a layout meant for a desktop. Give it room now and the trade splits in two: the amounts you are typing on one side, and everything you are trading against on the other, with your wallet, slippage tolerance, rate, price impact, minimum received, network cost and the pools your trade routes through held in a column beside the card rather than scrolling away under it. Drag it narrow and all of that returns to a single column in the order you read it. The token list and the review screen used to open against the top of the page instead of the window, so reaching for one after scrolling could put it out of sight; they now cover the window they were opened from, rise from the bottom edge at phone widths, and close on Escape. Nothing about the trade itself changed: routes are still searched across every fee tier, quoted on chain by Uniswap's own quoter, and signed by your wallet.

Highlights

A trade that fits the window it is in
The layout follows the window rather than the screen, so a window dragged down to its smallest size is a phone layout even on a large display, and a maximised one is not a narrow column with empty space either side. Wide, the trade card and its button take the left and the figures take a column on the right that stays put while you work. Narrow, the same pieces stack in one column in reading order, with nothing dropped. Uniswap also opens larger than it used to, wide enough to start in the two column layout, and remains resizable down to a phone.

The numbers stay beside the trade
Rate, price impact, minimum received at your slippage tolerance, the pool fee, the network cost and the route your trade takes used to sit under the card, where typing an amount pushed them off screen at exactly the moment they mattered. Where there is room they now hold a column of their own next to the card and stay visible while you type, and the column says what will fill it before you have entered an amount. Your wallet and the slippage setting sit in the same column, so changing the tolerance and reading what it guarantees no longer happen at opposite ends of a scroll.
Everything in this release
Improved5
- Uniswap lays itself out from the size of its own window: two columns where there is room, one column where there is not.
- Rate, price impact, minimum received, pool fee, network cost and the route sit in a column beside the trade when the window is wide enough, and stay on screen while you type.
- Uniswap opens at a larger default size, and can still be dragged down to a phone width.
- Escape closes the token list and the review screen in Uniswap. It is ignored while a wallet signature is outstanding, so a swap part way through cannot be dismissed by a stray key.
- Keyboard focus is visible on every control in Uniswap, including the token buttons, the chain tabs and the slippage presets.
Fixed1
- The token list and the review screen in Uniswap opened against the top of the page rather than the window, which could put them out of sight after scrolling. They now cover the window they were opened from.
