1.7.3
Every window can now be told what you think of it. The Help menu grew a feedback form one release ago, and it works, but it asks you to leave whatever you were looking at, find a menu and write a subject line before you can say a screen is good or bad. Most opinions do not survive that. Each title bar now carries a feedback button where the window switcher used to sit: press it, press a thumb, press Send. Words are optional, the app you are in fills in what the feedback is about, and it goes to the same place the Help menu form goes, with nothing attached that identifies you. The window switcher it replaces is gone, along with the Zoom Switcher setting that turned it on, because the dock, Spotlight and the window keyboard shortcuts all reach another window in fewer steps than a menu inside a title bar did.

Highlights
- 01
A thumb, in every title bar
Two taps from noticing something to saying it. The panel opens under the button with one question, a Like and a Dislike, and a box you can leave empty; the thumb on its own is a complete answer. Choosing the thumb you already chose clears it, so a mis-tap does not commit you. Which app you are in is filled in for you, so there is no subject line to write, and the release you are on rides along so the answer is attached to the build it was about. If the send fails, your thumb and every word you typed stay exactly where they were and the reason appears beside the button.
- 02
Anonymous, and it says so before you press Send
The same terms as the Help menu forms, stated in the panel rather than in a policy: no wallet address, nothing identifying your install, nothing that ties one message to another. The cost of that is real and worth knowing in advance, so the panel says it above the button instead of after the fact: once sent, a message cannot be listed, changed or withdrawn from here, because nothing connects it back to you. Nobody will write back, and it is read.
Everything in this release
New2
- A feedback button in every window title bar: a like or a dislike, an optional note, and Send.
- Feedback sent from a window records which app it was about and which release you were on, so no subject line is needed.
Improved1
- A failed send keeps your choice and your note, states why, and lets you press Send again.
Removed1
- The window switcher in the title bar, and the Zoom Switcher setting in System Preferences, Control Center and the View menu. The dock, Spotlight and the window shortcuts reach another window in fewer steps.
